It might be a long way off but once the holiday season is over don’t despair – it’ll be time for the next Drara meeting. Following our enjoyable AGM in the station, we’re back up the road in Ditchling Rise. All neighbours are welcome for a catch up on current goings on around the hood. If you are riled by rubbish, pleased about parking or want to meet neighbours, our local councillors and air any issues – good or bad – come along.
Tuesday 15th September, 7.30 pm, 147 Ditchling Rise – add the date to your diary, electronic calendar or comit to memory. We look forward to seeing you then. In the meantime, enjoy August.
Once again London Road Station ticket hall and meeting room are opening their doors of an evening to welcome neighbours for our summer social and AGM. Come along for a chat with neighbours, meet recently elected local councillors and find out what Drara have achieved over the last year.
Light refreshments will be available and a chance to chat. The ‘business’ bit of the meeting will be brief – covering a report on the year in our area, approval of accounts and election of a committee and officers for the association. Don’t be shy – nominations welcome. We’ll also talk about plans and issues for the forthcoming year, so please do bring ideas, concerns, points to raise. We’ll also be welcoming some of our recently elected local Councillors and a representative from Southern Rail.
In summary its been an active year. We’ve had a lot of discussions with Brighton and Hove City Council, been involved in initiatives and consulted planning issues. Come along to find out more. If you’d like to get more involved, why not put yourself forward for the Committee? That simply means attending regular meetings and taking an active part in discussions.
